GNCM At Large Board Member Mark Roberts
Mark E. Roberts produces the Education pages for the GNCM website.
At Oral Roberts University, he directs the Holy
Spirit Research Center, a special university library collection
of Pentecostal-charismatic materials, where he also teaches seminary
Bible and undergraduate Humanities courses. He serves GNCM also
as an At-Large Director and his local church, Triumph
Worship Center, as Adult Education Pastor. He has served in
pastoral, educational, and worship ministries of churches in
California (where he grew up in Vista, of North San Diego County),
Mississippi, Ohio, Tennessee, and Oklahoma. His studies
in several colleges, including Jackson College of Ministries, led
to the Ph.D. in Religion (Biblical Studies) from Vanderbilt
University. Apostolic leadership became the practical focus of
his dissertation, Weak Enough to Lead: Paul’s Response
to Rivals and Critics in 2 Corinthians 10—13. He
married Carol Crosser in 1978, and they are blessed with four
pre-teen-to-adult children.
A 2005 graduate of Prison Fellowship’s Centurions
Program, his teaching at the university and in churches
emphasizes Christian worldview--how the gospel matters for
everything in life, how it not only redeems persons but also
renews culture. He also advocates for the worldwide Persecuted
Church.
